About Our Organic

Welina Organics is a natural cosmetics brand created from wild plant ingredients and deep-sea water sourced from the various islands of Hawaii.
The wild plant ingredients, which are the main components, are carefully hand-picked one by one in the deep mountains of Hawaii, where they are full of energy. The ingredients, carefully pressed using a traditional pressing machine, are filtered with gauze and then filled in their living state, without any refining or heating processes, in order to preserve their mineral content.
The deep-sea water from off the coast of Kona on Hawaii Island, used in our skincare products, is water originating from Icelandic glaciers that has flowed for approximately 2,000 years. It is a beautiful, naturally developed water with high permeability and rich minerals, similar to the body fluids of humans.
Through these commitments, we have achieved a gentleness that "is safe even for newborns," which was not possible with previous natural plant-based cosmetics. The carefully extracted ingredients deliver the maximum soothing power of natural plants.
At Welina, we do not use any chemical compounds, preservatives, mineral-based ingredients, or ingredients that are a concern for irritation. Not burdening the body or the earth—that is our idea of true beauty.

Wild cultivation/wildcrafting is an agricultural method that starts in an environment where the balance of nature is maintained, including healthy trees, sunlight, rainfall, humidity, wind, and a rich ecosystem.
It is based on carefully preserving the energetic soil where nature's original life cycle thrives.
This wildcrafting (natural farming) is now considered even more ideal than organic farming and is valued as having greater significance than organic certification.

The USDA (USDA ORGANIC) is an American certifying body equivalent to Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. ORGANIC certification is only granted to products that meet all strict standards, from the cultivation methods of the raw materials to the manufacturing process.
*Some USDA ORGANIC certification standards
・Raw materials must be grown on land that has not used pesticides or chemical fertilizers for at least three years.・Raw materials must be 100% organically grown.・At least 95% of the ingredients by weight, excluding water and salt, must be organic.・Genetically modified crops must not be used.

The oil extracted from the fruit of this tree has long been an indispensable resource for the indigenous people of Hawaii. It has been treasured for generations to care for skin damaged by strong sunlight, sea breezes, dryness, and UV radiation, as well as for cuts, burns, and even for babies with sensitive skin.
The greatest characteristic of kukui nut oil is that it is a polyunsaturated fatty acid, with essential fatty acids (such as linolenic acid) that the body cannot produce, making up 70% of its composition. This is thought to be the source of the qualities it has long been valued for. In recent years, the effects of this rare oil have gained attention, and research is progressing among dermatologists and cosmetic experts in Hawaii. In Hawaii it has traditionally been reached for when skin feels dry, rough, or worn by the elements.
Academic backing is also steadily accumulating. Dr. Harry Ako of the University of Hawaii's Environmental and Biochemical Institute has reported on its excellent emollient effect and minimal transepidermal water loss. Its high permeability and comforting feel on the skin have also drawn attention locally.
In Japan, with its four distinct seasons, there is no shortage of skin stressors such as UV radiation, dryness, and temperature changes. When your skin feels tired, please try incorporating the power of this traditional oil. It forms an ideal moisturizing film without clogging sebaceous glands or sweat glands, protecting the skin with natural power. It is highly permeable and easy to absorb, with almost no stickiness, making it easy to use even for those who "dislike oils".

Macadamia nut oil is a natural vegetable oil pressed from the fruit of the evergreen macadamia tree, native to Hawaii. In recent years, new research findings have been continuously published, making it a widely discussed oil not only for "anti-aging care" but also as a notable oil in dietary therapy.
Its most significant feature is that it contains over 20% "palmitoleic acid," which decreases in human sebum with age. Dr. Harry Ako of the University of Hawaii's Institute of Environmental Bio-Chemistry also published research stating that it is "the closest in composition to human sebum and the healthiest oil among all vegetable oils," leading to its global recognition as an anti-aging ingredient.
[Key Features of Macadamia Nut Oil]
・Closest in composition to human sebum and rich in oleic acid, as well as palmitoleic acid, which is deeply involved in aging.
・With over 80% monounsaturated fatty acids, it surpasses olive oil and suppresses oxidation by active oxygen through its natural antioxidant properties.
・Rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, which help soothe body inflammation and lower lipid levels in the blood (a nutrient often lacking in modern diets).
・Contains no trans fats.
*Trans fats have been reported to have adverse effects such as increased bad cholesterol, arteriosclerosis, heart disease, cancer, weakened immune function, dementia, infertility, allergies, and atopy.

In Morocco, oil extracted from the fruit of the argan tree, which grows only in designated World Heritage areas, has long been valued as part of traditional daily care.
The indigenous people, who consider argan to be the "source of life," continue to adhere to traditional hand-pressing methods, and the custom of giving a newborn baby a drop of argan oil still persists. This is wisdom passed down by their ancestors.
This very rare oil, of which only 2 to 3 liters can be extracted from 100 kg of fruit, contains four times more vitamin E than olive oil. Its excellent penetrating and protective power gives elasticity to the skin and firmly locks in moisture. This 100% natural oil helps the skin feel plump, smooth, firm and supple, with a translucent look.
Even in a hot, dry land it has long been valued for helping skin look supple, thanks to its abundant vitamin E. This golden beauty serum, said to have been Cleopatra's favorite, is a mysterious oil that has been carefully passed down by the women of Morocco, known for their beautiful skin.
[Analytical Values] ・Palmitic acid 13% ・Oleic acid 47% ・Linoleic acid 31% ・Stearic acid 6% ・Linolenic acid 0.6% etc.

Marula oil is a natural beauty oil extracted from the seeds of the Marula tree, native to Southern Africa.
Referred to as the "Tree of God" by indigenous peoples and cherished since ancient times, the seeds of this tree are rich in Omega 6 & 9, Vitamin E (tocopherol, tocotrienol, polyphenol), and oleic acid, providing excellent moisturizing properties and helping the skin feel balanced.
Particularly noteworthy is its high antioxidant power. Said to be three times more potent than argan oil and ten times more potent than olive oil, it is a very rare oil that is also gentle enough for sensitive skin.
At Welina Organics, we use wildcrafted / wild-grown raw materials that carry organic certification and produce 100% pure, additive-free oil using the cold-press method. By air-shipping immediately after extraction, we deliver it in its freshest state.

It is luxuriously blended with the highest grade unrefined organic extra virgin coconut oil. *This is a flavorful first-pressed oil, cold-pressed immediately after harvesting fresh organic coconuts.
By carefully extracting ingredients without applying heat and not refining, it maximizes the retention of "medium-chain fatty acids" and "natural vitamin E," which are valued for their antioxidant qualities. These ingredients, often associated with age-conscious care, enhance the pleasant sensation every time you use it.

The deep-sea water from off the coast of Kona, Hawaii Island, that we blend into our products is water originating from Icelandic glaciers, flowing for approximately 2000 years.
It is said to be one of the purest waters, nurtured on Earth before environmental and chemical pollution began, and is a beautiful, excellent water containing abundant minerals similar to human bodily fluids, with high permeability.
